St. Peter’s Social Justice Ministry builds community by empowering ourselves and others to engage with the work of alleviating injustice. As a ministry, we contribute towards Christian Formation by combining action-oriented projects initiatives with educational workshops, to confront and challenge the ways in which social and legal barriers and oppression manifest in our own lives and community.

The Social Justice Leadership Team comprises a committee that meets once a month to plan our direction, projects, and community initiatives. Our “street team” currently includes over 70+ faith ambassadors: members and friends of our congregation who help us to model Christ’s example of love-through-action beyond our church doors, contributing work towards systemic change in the structures that contribute to oppression, inequality, and social and legal barriers.

Join our Leadership Team: most First Wednesdays of every month, 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the Parish House library. Contact Lisa Wielunski (, or Jeanne Agan ( for more information.
