In preparation for Christmas at St. Peter’s, the Altar and Flower Guilds gather and look to many extra helping hands to decorate the parish buildings and grounds for the season. Duties for adults, youth, and older children include hanging garland and wreath greenery, indoors and outdoors; placing poinsettias; securing candle globes on window ledges; extra preparation of the Chancel, Sanctuary, and Altar spaces; polishing silver and brass; and general cleaning.
This year, because both the Fourth Sunday of Advent and Christmas Eve fall on the same day, many helpers are needed on Saturday, December 23, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (for as long as one can stay) and/or Sunday, December 24, 11:15 a.m. (after the 10:00 a.m. service) to finish certain decorations by 1:30 p.m.
If you can assist, please contact Altar Guild Coordinator, Mary Virginia Woodall (firstname.lastname@example.org, 704-351-1627) or Flower Guild Coordinator, Todd Murphy (email@example.com, 704-904-0545) to indicate when the crew should expect you.
