Saints in the Summer
Our first Saints in the Summer liturgy and fellowship meal was enjoyed by over 55 souls from infants to elders. Special thanks go out to the teams who worked on the liturgy, the meal and the formation activity. Join us on July 31 at 5:00 pm to celebrate the life of St. Clare of Assisi…or better yet help us on one of the teams by signing up here.

Summertime Call: Lay Ministers for Worship Roles
The Clergy and Vestry Coordinators for Worship and The Arts, Abigail Cudabac and Paul Keller, are now recruiting personnel and will collaborate with respective ministry team leaders to offer training sessions or make other appropriate connections for prospective new Acolytes (adult and youth from grade 5), the Altar Guild, Eucharistic Ministers, the Flower Guild, Lectors, Morning Prayer Officiants, the St. Peter’s Choir, and Ushers. Training sessions will be offered between August and September to begin new ministry in Fall 2016. Community Garden Update
Here at last is the summer workday schedule: Saturday, July 9, 10:00 a.m.-Noon; Wednesday, July 13, 9:00-11:00 a.m.; week of July 18 to be announced; Friday, July 29, 9:00-11:00 a.m.; Wednesday, August 3, 9:00-11:00 a.m.; Saturday, August 6, 10:00 a.m.-Noon. We only have one per week scheduled, so please do come help. We are also looking for folks willing to gather together to tend to the garden one day during the week of July 18-24 when all of our leaders are out of town. It would be a great blessing if a group of you could come weed, harvest, and tie up any of our peppers and eggplants that may have fallen down. If interested, please contact Margaret Rudisill (email@example.com) so she can get you all together. During the first week of August, we will be starting seeds for our fall crops and preparing our beds for fall planting. We need all hands on deck!
Voter Engagement Workshops
Throughout July, the Social Justice Committee will be hosting workshops and registration drives to encourage community participation in the electoral process. Join us for an information session July 10 at 9:30 am or July 17 after the 10:45 a.m. service. Look for our table at coffee hour on Fourth of July weekend.
