Celebrate our first Saints of the Summer, St. Peter and St. Paul, Sunday Evening at 5:00 p.m.
Saints in the Summer launches this Sunday, June 26. (Other dates are July 31, August 7, August 14, and August 21.) Our parish family will gather for Eucharist with a creative homily, prayers written just for this occasion, and special hymns, followed by a meal with fun activities to help us learn more about St. Peter’s. Bring the whole household – wiggly kids are especially welcome! To help with meal planning, please RSVP here. Contact clergy or formation staff with questions.
Revised Worship Schedule for Sunday 5:00 p.m.
Beginning in July, the 5:00 p.m. Holy Eucharist monthly schedule will change to the third Sunday only. On Sunday, July 17, our regular Taizé Holy Eucharist service will be offered. Then on the fifth Sunday, July 31, Saints in the Summer continues weekly at 5:00 p.m. through August 21. The new fall schedule for Sunday Evenings at St. Peter’s will be announced soon.

Check out St. Peter’s God’s Tapestry Blog
Here you’ll find reflections by our clergy and parishioners about difference and the Christian call to reconciliation – along racial and other lines. There are also curated resources to deepen our understanding of racism in our daily lives. The url is easy to remember: www.st-peters.org/godstapestry.
Summertime Call: Lay Ministers for Worship Roles
The Clergy and Vestry Coordinators for Worship and The Arts, Abigail Cudabac and Paul Keller, are now recruiting personnel and will collaborate with respective ministry team leaders to offer training sessions or make other appropriate connections for prospective new Acolytes (adult and youth from grade 5), the Altar Guild, Eucharistic Ministers, the Flower Guild, Lectors, Morning Prayer Officiants, the St. Peter’s Choir, and Ushers. Training sessions will be offered between August and September to begin new ministry in Fall 2016. If you are interested in serving, contact Abigail Cudabac (firstname.lastname@example.org, 704-532-2740).
Loaves and Fishes Update
A big thanks to all who continue to support donating food to Loaves and Fishes using the red barrels in the Gallery of the Parish House. I serve as the Pantry Coordinator for the West Sugar Creek location and Linda Smith is the Pantry Coordinator for the Galilee Center location on Central Avenue. The clients love having a variety to select from such as cereal. We get corn flakes from the warehouse but I get excited when I see cereals donated and the same for tinned fruit. We get applesauce and pears but the clients get excited when they can choose peaches, pineapple or fruit cocktail. We are very grateful for all donations as they do add variety to the shelves. If anyone wishes to tour a pantry, contact me; I am there three days a week, Tuesdays, Thursday and Saturdays.
